India Data Protection Notice

This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and explains how Briyo Supplements LLP handles the personal data of users in India, with reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”). Where this notice and our Privacy Policy differ in respect of users in India, this notice applies.

1. Who we are

Briyo Supplements LLP acts as a Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data you provide to us through www.briyosupplements.com.

2. What we collect, and why

We collect your name, contact details, delivery address, order history, payment confirmation details and information about how you use our website. We use this to:

process and fulfil your order, including delivery and returns;
process payments and refunds;
provide customer support and respond to your queries;
send you communications you have opted into;
detect and prevent fraud and misuse; and
meet our obligations under applicable law, including tax and accounting requirements.

3. Consent and lawful processing

Where we rely on your consent, we ask for it in respect of a specified purpose, and you may withdraw it at any time using the contact details below. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, and may limit our ability to provide you with certain services.

We also process personal data for certain legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, including where you voluntarily provide data for a specified purpose and where processing is necessary to comply with law.

4. Your rights as a Data Principal

Subject to the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

Access a summary of the personal data we process about you and the processing activities undertaken;
Correction, completion and updating of your personal data, and erasure where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected;
Grievance redressal in respect of any act or omission regarding your personal data (see Section 5);
Nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity; and
Withdraw consent previously given.

To exercise any of these rights, email cs@briyosupplements.com from the email address registered with your account, or include the phone number used to place your order, along with a description of your request. We will respond within a reasonable period.

We will acknowledge your grievance and work to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the DPDP Act.

6. Children’s data

Our products and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. How long we keep your data

We retain personal data for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or for as long as we are required to retain it under applicable law, including tax and accounting rules. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Who we share it with

We share personal data with service providers only to the extent needed to run our business, including our e-commerce platform, payment gateway, and courier and logistics partners. We require them to protect your data and to use it only for the purposes we specify. We do not sell your personal data.

9. Security

We maintain reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The “Last updated” date above will be revised when we do.
